Angeles Health offers stem cell therapies for various medical conditions in conjunction with our stem cell provider the Regenerative Medicine Institute. The institute and one of our staff members, Dr. Juan Parcero, have been recognized several times recently for the great work they are conducting within stem cell research.

The Regenerative Medicine Institute, Mexico and Dr. Juan Parcero, Principal Investigator, have been presented with the “Dr. Carlos Treviño Award” for their work in an open-label, non-randomized, multi-center study to assess the safety and cardiovascular effects of intravenous and intramyocardial implantation of autologous adipose-derived stem cells in congestive heart failure patients at Angeles Hospital in Tijuana, Mexico. The award was presented during the Annual Meeting of Interventional Cardiology Society of Mexicoheld in Puebla, Mexico on Dec. 7-10, 2011.

The Regenerative Medicine Institute, Mexico and Dr. Juan Parcero have also been honored with the “Best Cardiology Research Study in Mexico” for the same study at Angeles Hospital.  This award will be presented at the Annual International Cardiology Congress to be held in Guadalajara, Mexico on Feb. 23-25, 2012.
